Southeast Asia’s First and Largest Nonwovens Exhibition ANDTEX 2019 in Bangkok

ANDTEX 2019, the first and the largest exhibition and conference dedicated for nonwovens and disposable hygiene technology from May 15 to 17, 2019 was held in Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Apichin Chotikasathien, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, under the concept “Promotion of Thai nonwovens as regional hub.”

Officially supported by the Thai Ministry of Industry, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Thailand Textile Institute (THTI), Thai Man-Made Fiber Industries Association (TMFA), National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), Center of Excellence in Textile, Chulalongkorn University and many international nonwoven industry associations, the exhibition showcased raw materials, chemicals, filtration technology, machinery, equipment, finished products and services from over 200 international companies from 14 countries around the world. Alongside the exhibition, a 2-day high profile conference program delivered expertise view on the industry development, technology and the future of nonwovens.

ANDTEX 2019 fosters the exchange of knowledge, innovation and technology that is crucial in advancing the nonwovens industry in Thailand. The event will also benefit business operation and contribute to the drive of Thailand’s potential industries in the future,” said Mr. Apichin Chotikasathien, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry.

Dr. Chanchai Sirikasemlert, Executive Director of THTI also added: “In order to comply with Thailand 4.0, the government policy that support Thais’ industry & economic growth, the Institute foresees the importance of Nonwoven … to support Thais’ economic growth. ANDTEX 2019 the first and the largest exhibition and conference dedicated for nonwovens and disposable hygiene technology is the key to uplift Thais’ nonwovens industry to be hub of the region.
